प्रदेश के सबसे बड़े कॉलेजों में से एक रीवा के टीआरएस कॉलेज के समाज कार्य के विद्यार्थियों ने सामूहिक गतिविधियों के अंतर्गत किया क्षेत्रीय कार्य उनके यही कार्य उनको आगे चलकर रोजगार दिलाने में सहायक होंगे क्योंकि समाज कार्य के क्षेत्र में रोजगार की अपार संभावनाएं है आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव पर्व पर शासकीय ठाकुर रणमत सिंह महाविद्यालय रीवा में प्राचार्य डॉ अर्पिता अवस्थी के निर्देशन में समाज कार्य विभाग के द्वितीय सेमेस्टर के छात्रों के द्वारा सामुदायिक गतिविधियों के अंतर्गत क्षेत्रीय कार्य संपन्न किया गया। प्राचार्य डॉ अर्पिता अवस्थी ने अपने उद्बोधन में छात्रों को बताया कि वर्तमान समय में सभी कल्याणकारी योजनाओं के क्रियान्वयन में गैर सरकारी संगठनों की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है। समाज कार्य के विद्यार्थी गैर सरकारी संगठनों में संलग्न होकर स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा और अनेक कल्याणकारी कार्यों को बेहतर तरीके से कर सकते हैं और रोजगार  प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। डॉ अखिलेश शुक्ल विभागाध्यक्ष समाज कार्य विभाग ने कहा कि समाज में विकास की तेज रफ्तार के दौरान समाज कार्य का पाठ्यक्रम एक ऐसे क्षेत्र के रूप में उभरा है, जिसमें रोजगार की अपार संभावनाएं हैं।

समाज कार्य का विद्यार्थी एक सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता के रूप में पीड़ित को विपत्ति तथा दुखों से राहत दिलाने एवं उनके निवारण का प्रयत्न करता हैं। उपयुक्त सेवाओं की व्यवस्था करके और उन्हें परिचालित करके तथा सामाजिक नियोजन में योगदान देकर व्यक्तियों, परिवारों, समूहों एवं समाज की सहायता करना उनका दायित्व होता है। वे व्यक्तियों को व्यक्तिगत और सामाजिक समस्याओं से निपटने तथा अनिवार्य सेवाएं और संसाधन प्राप्त करने में उन्हें सक्षम बनाने के लिए उनके साथ, उनकी ओर से एवं उनके हित में कार्य करते हैं। क्षेत्रीय कार्य के अंतर्गत छात्रों ने अंतर-वैयक्तिक प्रैक्टिस, सामूहिक कार्य, सामुदायिक कार्य, सामाजिक विकास, सामाजिक कार्रवाई, नीति-विकास, अनुसंधान, सामाजिक कार्य शिक्षा  के क्षेत्र में कार्य किया। कार्यक्रम में डॉ. एस.पी. शुक्ला, डॉ. आर.पी. चतुर्वेदी, डॉ. बी.पी. सिंह, डॉ. आर.एन. तिवारी, डॉ. संध्या शुक्ला, डॉ. गायत्री मिश्रा, डॉ. सुशील दुबे, आदि की उपस्थिति उल्लेखनीय रही। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ गुंजन सिंह, डॉ शिव बिहारी कुशवाहा तथा डॉ प्रियंका तिवारी के द्वारा किया गया।

One of the biggest colleges of the state, the students of social work of TRS College of Rewa did field work under collective activities. Will be helpful in getting employment because There is immense scope of employment in the field of social work. Under the direction of Principal Dr. Arpita Awasthi, field work was done under community activities by the students of the second semester of Social Work Department at Government Thakur Ranmat Singh College Rewa on Amrit Mahotsav festival of Independence. Principal Dr. Arpita Awasthi told the students in her address that at present NGOs have an important role in the implementation of all welfare schemes.

Students of social work can do health, education and many welfare works in a better way by getting involved in non-governmental organizations and can get employment. Dr. Akhilesh Shukla, HOD, Department of Social Work, said that during the fast pace of development in the society, the course of social work has emerged as an area which has immense possibilities of employment. The student of social work, as a social worker, tries to provide relief to the victim from distress and sorrows and their redressal. It is their responsibility to help individuals, families, groups and society by arranging and operating appropriate services and contributing to social planning. They work with, on behalf of, and in the interests of individuals to enable them to cope with personal and social problems and to access essential services and resources. Under field work, students worked in the field of interpersonal practice, group work, community work, social development, social action, policy-development, research, social work education. In the program, Dr. S.P. Shukla, Dr. R.P. Chaturvedi, Dr. B.P. Singh, Dr. R.N. Tiwari, Dr. Sandhya Shukla, Dr. Gayatri Mishra, Dr. Sushil Dubey, etc. were notable in their presence. The program was conducted by Dr. Gunjan Singh, Dr. Shiv Bihari Kushwaha and Dr. Priyanka Tiwari.
