This #archaeological site is a great #history to tell with #ancient #Buddhist #stoops you’ll find here. These #stoops discovered in the year 1982, are said to be about two thousand years old and related to #Ashoka‘s #rule. You will find three large #stoops made of clay bricks and many small stoops out of 46 different stones.
#Deur_Kothar also has five thousand year old #rocky #caves which are definitely very complicated in its #presence. As an effort to spread #Buddhism in the #Vindhya region during the #Ashoka period, the remains of Lord Buddha were distributed to create these stupas. Deur Kothar is one of the iconic Rewa #tourist destinations where stupas have been built by followers of Buddhism after the destination was found.
