रीवा शहर में पिछले काफी दिनों से मोटरसाइकिल चोरी की घटनाएं काफी तेजी से बढ़ गई थी पुलिस के पास हर दिन कोई न कोई शिकायत मोटरसाइकिल चोरी की पहुंच रही थी जिसके चलते पुलिस ने एक टीम बनाई नगर पुलिस अधीक्षक शिवाली चतुर्वेदी के नेतृत्व में थाना प्रभारी सिविल लाइन हितेन नाथ शर्मा थाना प्रभारी अमहिया निशा खुदा प्रभारी साइबर सेल बीरेंद्र सिंह पटेल और उनकी टीम के द्वारा  स्कूटी मोटरसाइकिल चोरों को पकड़ने का जाल बिछाया गया जिसमें तीन मोटरसाइकिल चोर फस गए पूछताछ में उन्होंने 13  मोटरसाइकिल चुराना कबूल किया है पकड़े गए आरोपियों में शिवम पाठक पिता स्वर्गीय भोला प्रसाद पाठक उम्र 23 साल ग्राम के मार्ग थाना रामपुर बघेलान जिला सतना प्रकाश सिंह उर्फ बंटी पिता स्वर्गीय नरेंद्र सिंह पटेल उम्र 23 साल बेलह थाना चोरहाटा पवन सिंह उर्फ साहब पिता श्रीनिवास सिंह पटेल उम्र 30 साल निवासी खैरा थाना  चोरहटा को गिरफ्तार  किया पूछताछ में उन्होंने तेरा मोटरसाइकिल स्कूटी चुराना कबूल किया है

चोर इन मोटरसाइकिल को चुराकर ज्ञानेंद्र त्रिपाठी पिता बीरबली त्रिपाठी उम्र 37 वर्ष निवासी जगोनी थाना रामपुर बघेलान और इलियास उर्फ पप्पू पिता रहीमुद्दीन मंसूरी उम्र 40 साल निवासी भोलगढ़  थाना चोरहाटा को बेचा करते थे मोटरसाइकिल चोरों ने इन गाड़ियों में से कुछ गाड़ी को मॉडिफाइड करवा लिया था पुलिस अब चेचिस नंबर के आधार पर इन गाड़ियों की जांच कर रही है और गाड़ी मालिक तक पहुंचने का प्रयास कर रही है फिलहाल पुलिस के हाथ एक बड़ी कामयाबी हाथ लगी है जब एक बड़ा मोटरसाइकिल चोर गिरोह पकड़ में आया है इस गिरोह के पकड़े जाने से निश्चित रूप से आम आदमी को थोड़ी सी राहत मिलेगी माना जा सकता है शहर में एक्टिवा मोटरसाइकिल चोरी के मामले इस गिरोह के पकड़े जाने के बाद कम देखने में नजर आएंगे फिलहाल तेरा मोटरसाइकिल एक्टिवा जिसकी बाजार में कीमत पुलिस 8 लाख रुपए मानकर चल रही है बरामदगी एक बड़ी सफलता मानी जा सकती है
