आज सुबह से ही परिणाम आने शुरू हुए कांग्रेस पार्टी लगातार बहुत बनाते नजर आई और यह बढ़त अंत तक कामयाब रही जब तक परिणाम नहीं आ गए कांग्रेस के नेता पूर्व अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने इसे गरीबों की जीत बताया उन्होंने कहा हमने नफरत के बाजार में मोहब्बत की दुकान खोल दी है इस चुनाव में सबसे बड़ा झटका जनता दल एस को लगा है जनता दल एस के नेता यह मानकर चल रहे थे किसी भी पार्टी को बहुमत नहीं मिलेगा ऐसे में हम किंगमेकर की भूमिका में रहेंगे लेकिन उनके तमाम मंसूबों पर कर्नाटका की जनता ने पानी फेर दिया कर्नाटका प्रदेश अध्यक्ष डीके शिवकुमार ने कहा यह अखंड कर्नाटक की जीत है मुख्यमंत्री कौन होगा पार्टी तय करेगी कांग्रेस नेता प्रियंका वाड्रा साफ तौर से कहती हैं यह देश को जोड़ने वाले राजनीति की जीत है जय कर्नाटक जय कांग्रेस कांग्रेश पूरी लगन से गारंटी  को लागू करने का काम करेगी वहीं भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री येदुरप्पा कहते हैं हार जीत हमारे लिए नई  नहीं  हम अपनी हार पर  विचार करेंगे मंथन करेंगे फिलहाल जयराम रमेश का बयान काफी मायने रखता है जिस पर उन्होंने कहा कर्नाटका की जीत ने कांग्रेश के लिए संजीवनी का काम किया कर्नाटका में भारत जोड़े जात्रा का असर दिखा अब सबकी नजर कर्नाटका में सरकार बनने के बाद कैबिनेट की बैठक पर टिकी होगी जैसा कि राहुल गांधी कह रहे थे हम अपनी पहली बैठक में पांचों वादे पूरे करेंगे
