 31 मई को चोर हटा थाना अंतर्गत मैदानी गांव में एक महिला ने अपने घर में फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली महिला ने आत्महत्या करने के पहले फांसी के फंदे पर लटकने के पहले अपने पति की करतूतों को लिख कर छोड़ दिया था जिसके चलते पुलिस ने उसको गिरफ्तार कर लिया है महिला ने अपने सुसाइड नोट में लिखा था पति के किसी अन्य महिला के साथ अवैध संबंध है साथ ही मुझे दहेज के लिए  प्रताड़ित किया जाता है जिसके चलते मैं यह कदम उठा रही हूं महिला की शादी इसी साल हुई थी मुश्किल से शादी के 3 महीने ही बीते थे महिला की शादी रामपुर बघेलान के दलदल गांव में हुई थी महिला का पत्र पुलिस के हाथ में लग गया था पत्र के आधार पर पुलिस ने पूछताछ की महिला के मायके पक्ष के लोगों ने भी पुलिस से हुई पूछताछ के दौरान आरोप लगाया था हमारी बिटिया को दहेज के लिए परेशान किया जाता था वही महिला के पत्र ने यह भी साबित किया उसके पति के किसी दूसरी महिला के साथ अवैध संबंध थे पुलिस ने तत्काल ही महिला के पति रजनीश सिंह जेठ राम नारायण सिंह भावी वंदना सिंह बहनोई शिव भूषण सिंह पर मामला पंजीबद्ध कर लिया पुलिस ने तत्काल ही उनके घर पर छापेमारी की पति व जेठ को गिरफ्तार कर लिया बहन और बहनोई फिलहाल फरार बताए जा रहे हैं दहेज को लेकर एक बार फिर से एक महिला को असमय ही मौत को गले लगाना पड़ा सीमा सिंह की शादी 3 माह पहले ही हुई थी शादी के पहले दिन से ही पति पत्नी दोनों के बीच में पटरी नहीं जम पाई वजह सीधी-सादी और साफ थी महिला की शादी जिस घर में हुई थी लालची परिवार था यही नहीं महिला के पति को अन्य महिला के साथ नाजायज तालुकात थे जिसे महिला बर्दाश्त नहीं कर पाई वही शादी करके ससुराल पहुंचते ही दहेज को लेकर ताने सुनने पड़े जिसके चलते महिला ने यह आत्मघाती कदम उठा लिया
