रीवा में कटहल फिल्म को लेकर विरोध के स्वर मुखर हुए ओटीटी प्लेटफार्म पर 19 मई 2023 को प्रसारित कटहल फिल्म में बसोर जाति को जातिगत रूप से अपमानित करने वाले शब्दों को हटाए जाने एवं फिल्म निर्माता निर्देशक लेखक के विरुद्ध आपराधिक प्रकरण पंजीबद्ध किए जाने को लेकर बसोर समाज ने महामहिम राष्ट्रपति के नाम संबोधित ज्ञापन कलेक्टर रीवा को सौंपा है
बसोर समाज के लोगों ने बताया कि फिल्म कटहल में इंस्पेक्टर का रोल निभा रही महिला महिमा बसोर को पूरी फिल्म दौरान कई बार बसोरन कहकर छुआछूत से संबंधित जातिगत अपमानजनक शब्दों का उपयोग किया गया है और यह कहा गया कि उस बसोरन दरोगा को घर लाओगे तो क्या उसका हम छुआ खाएंगे इस तरह से फिल्म प्रसारित की गई है जिससे समूचे बसोर समाज की भावनाएं आहत हुई हैं बसोर समाज ने फिल्म निर्माता निर्देशक एवं अन्य दोषी कलाकारों के विरुद्ध मानहानि सहित एसटी एससी एक्ट के तहत अपराध पंजीबद्ध कराए जाने की मांग की है ज्ञापन दौरान बसोर समाज के प्रमुख प्रदीप बसोर शकोचिल प्रसाद बसोर राजाराम उर्फ राजा गुलाब गीता अमर राजेश उमेश राजेंद्र ललिता लक्ष्मी बुटान रामबाई सुलोचना सुखरनियां कल्लूबाई सुनीता राजभान राजेश राजेंद्र डॉक्टर रमेश छोटीबाई अर्चना बबलू मुकेश कन्हैयालाल संगीता आशा उर्मिला निर्जला रामकली कौशल प्रसाद लवकुश शिवा महेश आदि सैकड़ों समाज के लोग उपस्थित रहे मोर्चे के संयोजक शिव सिंह ने बताया कि बंसल समाज का महापड़ाव आंदोलन 264वें दिन जारी रहा आंदोलन में मोर्चे की ओर से किसान नेता इंद्रजीत सिंह शंखू सुतीक्षण द्विवेदी शिववती सिंह उपस्थित रहे
