कर्नाटका में जिस तरीके से कांग्रेस ने भाजपा को पटखनी देकर सत्ता में वापसी की वह भी भारी बहुमत के साथ उस पर बात मुख्यमंत्री चुनने के लिए कांग्रेस को थोड़ा सोचना पड़ा अंततः सिद्ध रमैया के नाम पर मोहर लगती नजर आ रही है उसके कई कारण एक तो राहुल और केसी वेणुगोपाल का सिद्धारमैया को समर्थन उनके ऊपर मुख्यमंत्री रहने के दौरान किसी भी तरीके के भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप नहीं लगे sc.st.obc अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय पर सिद्धारमैया की बेहतर पकड़ सिद्धारमैया के बारे एक बात और मशहूर है पिछले 30 से 40 साल के कर्नाटका के इतिहास की बात की जाए तो एकमात्र ऐसे मुख्यमंत्री जिन्होंने अपना पूरा 5 साल का कार्यकाल पूरा किया वहीं दूसरी ओर डीके शिवकुमार जो कि कांग्रेस के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष उन्हें सोनिया गांधी का अत्यंत नजदीकी माना जाता है शिवकुमार जब जेल में थे सोनिया गांधी उनसे मिलने जेल पहुंच गई थी अब जब कर्नाटक की जनता ने कांग्रेस पार्टी की सरकार को भारी मतों से चुना है 

ऐसे में कांग्रेस पार्टी फूंक-फूंक कर कदम रख रही है वह नहीं चाहती ऐसा कोई काम जिससे पार्टी कमजोर दिखाई दे कांग्रेस पार्टी से ही तमाम विपक्ष यह मानकर चल रहे हैं अगर यही फार्मूला अन्य राज्यों में भी लागू किया गया तो भारतीय जनता पार्टी को सत्ता से बेदखल किया जा सकता है खासतौर से लोकसभा 24 के चुनाव में जिसके चलते कर्नाटक का चुनाव के परिणाम के बाद अपने परंपरागत तरीके को अपनाया विधायक दल की बैठक बुलाई एक लाइन का प्रस्ताव पास कराया हाईकमान चुनेगा मुख्यमंत्री उसके बाद कांग्रेस पार्टी कर्नाटक के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष डीके शिवकुमार वरिष्ठ नेता पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धारमैया दिल्ली तलब किए गए कांग्रेश के तमाम वरिष्ठ नेता लगातार बैठक करके आगे की रणनीति बना रहे हैं फिलहाल माना जा रहा है सिद्धारमैया के सर पर ही कर्नाटका का ताज सजेगा डीके शिवकुमार किंगमेकर की भूमिका में होंगे कर्नाटक में कांग्रेश मुख्यमंत्री चुनने के अलावा शपथ ग्रहण समारोह की तैयारी में व्यस्त हो गई है माना जा रहा है शुक्रवार तक कर्नाटका में नई सरकार अस्तित्व में आ जाएगी उसका शपथ ग्रहण हो जाएगा फिलहाल सबकी निगाहें कर्नाटका पर टिकी हुई हैं तमाम राजनीतिक विश्लेषक कर्नाटका के मुख्यमंत्री चुनने को लेकर अपने ही अंदाज में अलग-अलग विश्लेषण कर रहे हैं वहीं कांग्रेस के जानकार इसमें कुछ भी गलत नहीं मानते उनका कहना है कांग्रेश को कर्नाटक की जनता ने बहुमत दिया है अपना विश्वास प्रकट किया है हम कर्नाटक की जनता के विश्वास पर खरे उतरेंगे और अपनी पहली ही बैठक में कर्नाटक की जनता से किए गए पांचों वादे पूरे कर देंगे
