बीती रात दुकान मालिक दुकान बंद करके रोज की तरह अपने घर चले गए थे .उन्हें सुबह इस बात की जानकारी हुई वह मौके पर पहुंचे फायर ब्रिगेड बुलाया गया तब तक सब कुछ जलकर खाक हो चुका था. साक्षी मेडिकल स्टोर के मालिक ब्रजकांत शर्मा निवासी धर्मपुरा खटखरी के रहने वाले है. प्रत्यक्ष दर्शयो की मानी जाए तो आग तकरीबन रात 2:00 से 3:00 के बीच लगी इसी दौरान वहां से निकलने वाले एक ट्रक ड्राइवर ने एक मकान से आग के शोले निकलते देखा, उसने ट्रैक को वहीं खड़ा किया आसपास के लोगों को आवाज दे कर जगाया. आसपास के लोग वहां पहुंचे फायर ब्रिगेड को सूचना दी गई. फायर ब्रिगेड सूचना के लगभग डेढ़ घंटे बाद मौके पर पहुंची. तब तक लोग अपने-अपने निजी मोटर पंप से आग बुझाने का प्रयास करते रहे. लेकिन आग इतनी भीषण लगी हुई थी ,की ना बुझ पाई और सब कुछ जलकर खाक हो गया, नुकसान का अंदाजा इसी बात से लगाया जा सकता है सामान तो जला ही दुकान का पूरा प्लास्टर भी जलकर गिर गया और का नुकसान हो गया. दुकान के अंदर जितना भी सामान था पूरी तरीके से चलकर राख हो गया.
