इन दिनों हिमालय में उत्तराखंड में एक मंदिर काफी चर्चाओं में है वजह है मंदिर के एक तरफ झुकने की यहां मंदिर के अंदर रखी मूर्तियां और मंदिर धीरे-धीरे एक विशेष दिशा की ओर धीरे-धीरे  झुकते जा रहे हैं मंदिर जहां 6 डिग्री झुक गया है वहीं मंदिर के अंदर रखी मूर्तियां 10 डिग्री तक झुक गई है हम बात कर रहे हैं उत्तराखंड के रुद्रप्रयाग जिले के तुंगनाथ शिव मंदिर की आर्कियोलॉजिकल सर्वे ऑफ इंडिया जोकि भारत में पुरानी हिस्टोरिकल इमारतों पर नजर रखता है उसके अनुसार 12800 फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित इस शिव मंदिर में स्ट्रक्चर और मूर्तियों मैं काफी बदलाव देखने में नजर आ रहा है स्ट्रक्चर 6 डिग्री मूर्तियां 10 डिग्री झुक गई है एएसआई ने इस बात की जानकारी भारत सरकार को दे दी  है उसका कहना है इस मंदिर को संरक्षित घोषित कर दिया जाए वहीं दूसरी और उसने मंदिर के झुकने की वजह जानने के लिए मंदिर के अंदर और बाहर दीवाल में ग्लास स्केल को फिक्स कर दिया है जिसकी सहायता से मंदिर के दीवार की मूवमेंट की नाप जोख  होती रहेगी फिलहाल आर्कियोलॉजिकल सर्वे ऑफ इंडिया को मंदिर प्रबंधन मंदिर सौंपने के लिए तैयार नहीं है उसका कहना है हम मंदिर के झुकाव की वजह जानने के बाद उसमें सुधार करने की कोशिश करेंगे फिलहाल मानकर चला जा रहा है पहाड़ी में जमीन खिसकने या धसकने की वजह से मंदिर एक तरफ झुक गया है

बद्रीनाथ केदार मंदिर समिति इस मुद्दे को लेकर बैठक कर चुकी है फिलहाल वह आर्कियोलॉजिकल सर्वे ऑफ इंडिया को मंदिर सौंपने के लिए तैयार नहीं है हां उसकी मदद करने को तैयार है कारण पता करके मंदिर को सुधार की बात कही जा रही है हम आपको बता दें तुंगनाथ मंदिर का निर्माण लगभग 13 सौ साल पहले कलचुरी शासकों ने करवाया था मंदिर के निर्माण में कलचुरी काल की झलक भी मिलती है आज यह मंदिर बद्री केदार समिति के अंडर में है मंदिर के एक तरफ झुकने और मूर्तियों के कुछ ज्यादा ही झुकने को लेकर मंदिर प्रबंधन अच्छा खासा चिंतित है वह चाहता है कारण पता चले तो हम इसमें सुधार करें मंदिर समिति  चाहती है समय रहते मंदिर के जीतने की वजह पता चल जाए मंदिर को रिपेयर कर लिया जाए फिर चाहे वजह जमीन के नीचे के पत्थर बदलने की बात हो या फिर कोई और भी कारण हो मंदिर प्रबंधन हर हालत में दुनिया में सर्वाधिक ऊंचाई पर बने इस शिव मंदिर को बचाना चाहता है
