ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद इन दिनों एक बार फिर चर्चाओं में है 16 मई 2022 को ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद  के वजू खाने में एक शिवलिंग के आकार की पत्थर की आकृति मिली थी जिसे मुस्लिम पक्ष द्वारा फव्वारा कहां जा रहा था  वही हिंदू पक्ष शिवलिंग कह रहा था जिसके चलते तमाम तरीके के विवाद खड़े हो रहे थे मामला एक बार फिर जिला न्यायालय के बाद हाईकोर्ट तक जा पहुंचा अब इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट ने ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद में रखें कथित शिवलिंग की कार्बन डेटिंग साइंटिफिक सर्वे कराने की बात कही है जिससे यह तय हो जाएगा फव्वारा या शिवलिंग इस मुद्दे को बनारस की जिला न्यायालय ने पहले खारिज कर दिया था उसके बाद मामला हाईकोर्ट पहुंचा वहां पर सुनवाई के दौरान एएसआई  ने हाईकोर्ट के समक्ष 52 पेज की एक रिपोर्ट पेश की थी जिसमें आईआईटी रुड़की खड़कपुर समेत कई संस्थाओं के एक्सपर्ट शामिल थे जिनका कहना था 

अब ऐसे कई तरीके हैं जब हम बिना क्षति पहुंचाए यह जान सकते हैं इसी आधार पर हाईकोर्ट ने जिला कोर्ट का फैसला निरस्त किया शिवलिंग के साइंटिफिक सर्वे कराने के आदेश दिए पूरे मामले को लेकर हिंदू पक्ष के वकील विष्णु शंकर जैन कहते हैं हमने हाई कोर्ट में याचिका दायर की थी ज्ञानवापी परिसर में 16 मई 22 को जो शिवलिंग बरामद हुआ उसकी साइंटिफिक जांच कराई जाए जिला कोर्ट ने 14 अक्टूबर 22 को हमारी याचिका इस आधार पर खारिज कर दी गई थी ,वजू खाने का फव्वारा कहे या शिवलिंग  अब हाईकोर्ट ने साइंटिफिक जांच से पता लगाने की बात कही है मुस्लिम पक्ष कहता है परिसर सील है जांच कैसे होगी रमजान में हम चाहते थे वजू खाना और टॉयलेट लेकिन परिसर सील होने के चलते यह इंतजाम हमें बाहर उपलब्ध कराया गया था हाईकोर्ट के ताजे फैसले के बाद विवादित पत्थर का कार्बन डेटिंग का और साइंटिस्ट सर्वे होगा उसके बाद ही तय हो पाएगा इसे क्या नाम दिया जाए वजू खाने का फव्वारा या शिवलिंग

Gyanvapi Masjid is once again in discussions these days. The Hindu side was saying Shivling, due to which all kinds of controversies were arising, the matter once again reached the High Court after the District Court, now the Allahabad High Court has asked for a carbon dating scientific survey of the alleged Shivling placed in the Gyanvapi mosque, so that it Fountain or Shivling will be decided. This issue was first rejected by the District Court of Banaras, after that the matter reached the High Court.

 During the hearing there, the ASI presented a 52-page report before the High Court, in which several institutions including IIT Roorkee Kharagpur Experts were involved who said that now there are many ways in which we can know without harming it. On this basis, the High Court quashed the decision of the district court, ordered a scientific survey of Shivling. Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain of the Hindu side regarding the whole issue. It is said that we had filed a petition in the High Court that the Shivling found in the Gyanvapi campus on 16 May 22 should be scientifically investigated. Now the High Court has asked to find out the Shivling through scientific investigation. The Muslim side says that the premises are sealed. How will the investigation be done? After the carbon dating of the disputed stone, there will be a more scientific survey, only after that it will be decided what name should be given to it, fountain of food or Shivling.
